Pattern for Excellence Found in Greenbaum’s Quilted Forest
SALEM, OREGON – Greenbaum’s Quilted Forest has been named one of the top 20 quilt shops in the U.S. and Canada by the editors’ of American Patchwork & Quilting. Greenbaum’s is the only store from Oregon, western Washington and northern California to make the list and will be showcased in a new book, Best of Quilt Sampler®, published by Better Homes & Gardens.
Located in historic downtown Salem, the Quited Forest inspires creativity and has just about everything a quilter needs, from the latest fabrics, patterns and tools, to workshops, classes and exhibits. Still in the same building that was originally established as a dry goods store in 1900 by Isadore Greenbaum, current owner Sylvia Dorney says the legacy of the business, “…stems from a belief that quilting is part of our heritage, enrichment and fulfillment.”
After the recent announcement, Sylvia beams with pride, “This just adds another stitch to Greenbaum’s 107-year-old pattern for excellence. Our shop has so much to offer, for both the expert and the beginner. We really love what we do.”
